Frozen Ground?
Thawing frozen ground and soil can be tricky business. Traditional methods (propane burners and chemicals) have given way to new advances in technology. Shoveling Snow
When the white stuff falls like rain, shoveling becomes a neccessity in areas where snow plows are a luxury and bad backs are a plenty. Several years ago I was determined to find a better way of shoveling snow and thawing ice covered ground. Of course I thought I knew it all which I quickly came to realize was a complete lie. May we recommend the Powerblanket ground thawing and concrete curing multi-use Blankets. The nice thing ...
Frozen Ground Engineering
[caption id="attachment_131" align="alignnone" width="108" caption="Frozen Ground Engineering"][/caption] According to the National Snow & Ice Data Center, permafrost and seasonally frozen ground regions occupy approximately 24% and 60%, respectively, of the exposed land surface in the Northern Hemisphere. The actual area underlain by permafrost is approximately 12% to 18% of the exposed land area*. Frozen ground data and information collected over past decades, and to be collected in the future, are critical for fundamental process understanding, environmental change detection, impact assessment, model validation, and engineering applications. However, much of this information remains widely dispersed and unavailable to the science and engineering communities, ...

Hint: it's a lot. Some 11 million tons, actually, according to the EPA. Now let's try ...
